Aurora - 3. Internet Conference
German-Russian Media Initiative
=> Conference (June 18, 14:00 MEST) - press release -
Economic Strategies for Russia
Experimental field for Neoliberals - or spore for new Drafts?
Operating the Conference |
The Forum Software that is used here allows the reading and writing of messages with every WWW-Browser - special software (as with chats) is not neccessary. Participation in the conference is free of any charge.
Reading: News messages always appear on top of the list. To read older ones the list may be scrolled down. Answers to a message are indented directly below the message.
Writing: Clicking on Neuer Beitrag (new message) switches to the input mask, where name, email, subject
and the text may be entered and edited. [Abschicken] (send) gives a confirmation messages - Zurück
(back) leads back to the message list - with the new message on top.
Alternatively clicking on Antwort (answer) below a message makes the new text appear directly under the
referred message, indented to the right. It is also possible to write an answer to an answer etc. In this way
the relation of messages is directly visible. - A Test-Forum is available to train this.
If one is working in a company or institution he/she is invited to write its complete name (and possibly URL)
_in the body_ - for example "Mike Water, Vice President of the States Union (www.sus.com): In my
opinion...".
Content: The moderator will eventually try to focus the discussion on threads that appear especially
interesting. These remarks begin with 'Moderation: ' - please pay attention to them if possible.
Messages that do not belong to the subject or do not comply with basic communication rules will be deleted
by the admin.
Conference Language is german and english - most experts and the invited participants speak german, russian experts and part of the internet community will prefer english. Thus the german messages will be translated into english (and vice versa) which may take a few minutes. Ideally messages should be written in both languages in the first place.
Please send questions, comments etc. to Bernd von den Brincken - bvdb@asa.de.
During the conference technical or other not content-related issues may be discussed in the forum
'Aurora-Interna': on http://www.city-guide.de/aurora/ in the left column on top - the link below:
